Although his damn birth certificate suggests he is 31 (born in April, 1977)…Akon refuses to believe his is that old…he’d rather believe he is in the same age category, as let’s say Lil’ Wayne and Bow Wow…
Interestingly enough, he told an interviewer he was 25 AND he has no interest in checking his age…
“All it’s going to do is depress me. I don’t want to know I’m getting older. Then I’ll start to think about getting check-ups and insurance. I don’t want that.” The Senegalese star adds, “In Africa… age is not important. They don’t care. “I feel like I’m 21 right now, and I’ll be 21 for the next 10 years.”
Newsflash: We aren’t in Africa, boy…If the birth certificate says your 31, then that’s your damn age…SMH!
