Rick Ross has been exposed yet again…This time, he was on the cover of XXL magazine, sporting a pair of fake Louis Vuitton sunglasses. Below is a statement from representatives over at Louis Vuitton putting the former C.O. on blast for wearing the counterfeit glasses…

Dear Editor:

We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.

The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.

Rick Ross thinks his onging beef with 50 Cent will eventually reap its benefits and help him outsell 50, as both artists are expected to release albums later on this year…

“If he sold ten, my next album should sell twelve” ] Ricky said in a recent interview. As far as his recent beef and diss records toward 50, Ross says “That’s for sport.” When asked if his underground records will outshine his album, Ricky said “My freestyles as you could hear them, ‘Kiss My Pinky Ring,’ I do them in 20 minutes and put them out there. Those crumble empires. People listening to how potent the music is. That’s all this really is for me. I’m not really excited yet. All this is a platform for me to show people how talented I am.”

Ricky must be banking on the fact that the 1 million plus strong NYPD, LAPD, DOC, FBI and CIA are gonna show support to their fellow comrade and go ‘cop’ that album…

Ironically, Rick Ross appeared on Eminem’s Shade45 XM/Sirius satellite station during an appearance on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” show. The rapper spoke on the reason for launching the first salvo, “Mafia Music,” and an alleged confrontation at last year’s BET awards. “It’s nothing that can be personal,” Ross explained. “I seen him at the BET awards. I had different intentions for him, and when I bumped into him he made an expression on his face that disappointed me as a real n*gga. I gave him a pass. [But] it (“Mafia Music“) was just to let n*gga’s know.” Regarding 50’s rebuttal, Ross accused the Queens native of shaming his region’s legacy of classic diss records. “I was positive that couldn’t be the response,” quipped an incredulous Ross. “You from New York City, the Mecca of Hip-Hop, and that’s your response?! We’re all gonna act like we didn’t hear that garbage for 48 hours. Go back to the lab and come up with something else.”
